got one of those TrueVue ones i think.
it does reflect more than the screen, and loves finger smudges...but I think the stylus slides easier on it. On the screen, the stylus seemed to grab abit....dunno, maybe i just needed to clean it after taking of the thin screen protector out of the box.

..plastic on couches.lol, thats piss funny.

I own a multitude of Nokia phones/tablets, namely....

    N95, N97,
    E90, E71
    N810, N900

I have never used a screen protector... I simply keep them in cases with soft/velvet lining.

Over time, they do develop scratches.. but these are only visible at a specific angle in direct light (i.e if you are really trying hard to find them).

My opinion is , screen protectors are not required if you are generally careful with your phones.

just when i realized that the n900 display is so damn damageable i bought a sixpack screenprotectors from amazon.
(because i knew that i'm getting trouble with mounting them as i hadn't done this before to my other mobile phones)

so i messed up two of them by trying to mount them just the way they are without any helping tools.
the third one went without problem because i sprayed some glasses cleaner on the display on which the protector could glide above. then i was able to move it around the display for getting it to fit 100%.
after some hours the alcohol in the cleaner was gone and the protector was mounted perfectly on my display.

i'm very happy with it especially when i imagine that the little scratches wouldn't be on the protector but on the display itself. couldn't live without one. and just for reselling purposes it might be a clever draw

I bought a ScreenProtector (exim UltraClear) two weeks ago. I noticed 2 small scratches on my screen. They are very small, but when turning the N900 under (sun)light, you can see it in a few positions.

Don't know where are the scratches from. I took the N900 as only thing in my trouser pocket. No keys or coins etc.

I am still dithering on the screen protector. Mine is 6 weeks old and no scratches. I also keep it in a pouch or front trouser pocket and never keep keys or coins in the same pocket.

had mine a few weeks now and i dont use one and never will imo they destroy the feel and look of the phone i dont use a case either i just make sure it has a pocket of its own i.e not shared with my keys i done this will all my phones in the past and never scratch them. i never keep a phone for more than 18 months so they never look bad ar the end of there life. if i was to scratch the screen i would just replace the screen. they are not so avaliable yet but give it a couple of months you will find new screens (the plastic over the actual screen) for a few quid on a certain auction site. and at the end of the day its a phone

No protector, but in CP-321 when not in use, no scratches either.

I did try one, quite expensive too, but didn't like the responsivness.

Ok, quick story....Chopping down trees in my garden didn't notice tiny tiny chip in finger nail...scrolling webpage later on n900 by flicking finger up screen and drew a long deep scratch into screen protector that must have nearly gone through to actual screen!!...Never used 'protection' before but glad i did this time.
I may take it off when replacement screens are cheap and available...until then 'keep it covered boys'...er, and girls! ;-)
