So im going to buy N900 next week.
I want to use Skype on it as my primary phone but there is a problem: i live in the city where are very few spots with 3G and Wifi even less. (Moscow )
Would it work fine with EDGE/GPRS?

I tried Skype on 2.5G and it actually worked fine for me.

Skype on edge works but it is not very good in terms of quality.

Should be even worse (say "unusable") with plain GPRS. Not all telco providers have switched to EDGE in favor of concentrating on 3G networks sometimes in the future.
Eg. around here I have an EDGE capable cell right in sight of my home while most others in the vincinity are GPRS only.
