Does anyone have experience with generic brands, Motorola S805, Nokia BH-604, etc.
Just trying my BH-604 set for the first time this morning. After pairing, I fired up some tunes and found it playing the audio through the 'headset' profile (mono, low bitrate). I turned off the BH-604 and back on, hit play and found stereo audio (good sounding too).

PM me if you have any specific questions.

For the guys looking at those $100++ "worlds smallest bluetooth earphones" a few pages back.

I would be very weary, reducing the size means reducing the battery life, perhaps the quality of the earbuds, and also maybe the quality of the receiver/decoder so it wont get a signal as easy.

Bluetooth is a standardized thing, so for the most part if one device works with that protocol (A2DP) then all of them should work with few exceptions.

So anyways here is an alternative to that one earbud that I think is a much better use of your money:

Jabra BT3030 - http://www.jabra.com/Sites/Jabra/Na-...brabt3030.aspx

Reasons are many:

First you were looking at earbuds, to me earbuds defeat half the purpose of going cords free in the first place because they... have cords. Thats why I actually use Motorola S9-HD's

So with this small pendent design your not really losing anything but your gaining a few things.

> That small pendent I fell much more confident that it can supply a strong secure bluetooth connection due to its location and size.

> The greatest reason of all for me wanting to try this product is that its only a receiver that includes some earbuds, but it uses a standard 1/8 jack so you can opt to instead use your own high quality earbuds! With the sony's previously linked if you dont like the feel/sound of those earbuds your SOL and out over a hundred dollars.

> Last is the price, I think I have seen these jabras on sale for less than $50.00

Ok, just got a word from NLU, the guys making BodyGuardz! They've created guardz for N900:

http://www.bodyguardz.com/content/ac...1-23--2554.htm

From the looks of it it seems to cover N900 better, than invisiSHIELD I bought, plus there are 2 sets in the package and the price is the same as for a single invisiSHIELD...

Just received that CP-321 case (white, even though I'm sure I clearly ordered a black one). This is not the first problem I have with the Nokia store, it appears to be run by total ******s.
Anyway, even though hard to admit to myself I think the case was a disappointment. My impression was, uhm what? Is this it? I had expected something that I at least could strap on to my jeans or other clothing, but this is just a small thin ridiculous pouch that hardly even fits the N900. Half a centimeter of the display even sticks out on the far side. Damned! It wasn't cheap either. Guess I paid for a small little sticker on the (inside!) that reads "original Nokia enhancements".

My advice, stay away from it!

I can't seem to find out anywhere but what actual (buttons) controls are there on the DS220? I can only make out one, maybe two buttons on the pictures on the SE site so I can't really see how it would be good to control music.

I agree that the MW600 looks interesting.

The HBH-DS220 has only a Button to Play/Pause Music. You can change the volume by pressing and holding the Play/Pause Button. Relase the button when it has the volume you want. (poor to use)

The other Buttons are only to switch on / off (paring) and answer a call.

I bought a HBH-DS205 to replace my broken HBH-DS220 several weeks ago. It's almost the same, but you've got a bigger battery and a seperate Button to control the volume/change the track.

But at the N900 the track changing is not working. You have to press and hold the button to change a track, but the N900 changes the tracks about 20 per second. So you could only jump to the first track of your playlist.

The earplugs at the HBH-DS220 are GREAT! When you bought the HBH-DS205, then you have to buy the earplugs seperate. The bundled ones are very weak, does only fit in really big ears and sounds not so good.

Ugh that sounds awful - thanks for saving me the money.

Does anyone know of anything with the same features and quality of the BH-903 but comes with a headphone socket instead of hardwired 'phones? (oh, and is actually available to buy)

If you want a socket and great Earplugs buy a HBH-DS220 and a HBH-DS205 (I have done so)

But hurry up, I couldn't buy the HBH-DS220 naymore here at germany. They stopped the production. But with luck you can buy the earplugs from the HBH-DS220 seperate.
