Can the cards on an N800 by accessed easily via BT or WiFi from another computer as universal mass storage.

In other words… The N800 is great for storing a life’s personal mp3 playlist or PDF manuscripts of literary endeavors. It also stores light weight X/HTML and flash productions quite well.

However, although the N800 plays back and can sometimes edit these files, there are times when another machine can present them better.

Can that connection be easily made wirelessly with out the need to transfer those files first to the “playback” machine?

i have not done this but you can probably configure the http server to browse a directory and open the files that way.

Pro'ly could...

.. what I mean is; all those things can be easily done now with a USB cable.

Can it it be made that easy by using BT or WiFi instead of using a cable?

If you have SSH installed ( if not, you should install it ), you can open a secure ftp session using the SSH port (22). You can use the free Filezilla as a client, or if you really need it to appear as a drive on Windows, then there's SftpDrive that can do that, but that would cost you $39

Ahhh...

The key word here is easily. I like how the USB connection is somewhat firewalled with access only to the MMC's. I was hoping a service could be installed or an existing one enabled so that the cards could be seen and read wirelessly by another machine.

I'm guessing that is what the PAN protocol is all about.

well, if you only want access to the MMC cards, I guess you can create a new user, and in the user home directory, just create 2 links that point to the MMC cards. Yeah, I know, it's not easy as a double click, but once you get it working, it should be easy.
