Hi guys,

Sorry if there is an answer somewhere out there but I haven't been able to find it

I wonder if we could have a simple applet that would allow us to switch on/off independantly :
- Phone
- GPRS
- Wifi

A bit like an enhanced offline mode.

For instance, when my battery is almost dead, I'd like to be able to switch off GPRS and Wifi but not my phone.
When I've almost reached my GPRS data quota, I'd like to be able to stick to wifi.
etc...

I've been looking in the app rep but haven't found anything similar (maybe in devel but I'm not going there as I'm way to afraid )

u can use:
WiFi swicher to manage to on/off WiFi
3g/2g Mode Selection Applet to on/off UMTS mode
Cellular Modem Control Buttons to on/off phone mode and stay in tablet mode

Hi qhorse, for turning off only your phone and enter the Tablet Mode, you can use this:

It is stable and working, but it is still in extras-testing so be carefull with that.

It adds a button in the powerbutton menu which let you to turn your phone on/off.

Thanks for your answer !

I've installed 3g/2g but it doesn't switch off all data connection (aside from Wifi) does it ? When selecting GSM it seems that the N900 still manages to connect...

yes, it only changes 3G mode to 2G (good for not receiving mms abroad).

mmm that's what I though.

Well, I hope this will be developped one of these days then
