    u can change, not sure about adding


    12 smiley icon files are in:

    /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/hildon

    start with: "chat_smiley_"

    how can i change them? will I be able to gain access to this folder via midnight commander?? and can I copy *.gif there and just change the extension to png? or will I have to convert it with proper software?

    Please don't rename the gif to png. It may work fine, but it is not the proper way to do it. You can use Gimp to convert them to png.

    As for gaining root... you can use gainroot or the ssh trick. Good luck

    I was interested in this as well, as by default the phone only supports skype and google talk out of the box, but has no support for google's <3 emote or the <\3 emotes.
