1) There are 6 catalogues all together. Out of which 3 are in red, saying failed to refresh. I think these are the ones failed,
Nokia Applications - failed to refresh
Nokia System Software updates - failed to refresh
ovi - failed to refresh

2) I am sure that internet is on in my phone. I could browse nicely also recently i downloaded a game and installed from app mgr. it was around 2.5MB
But when i try the same for the other files like, Tennix game of 7.5MB and another game of 8.2MB, i am getting download failed error.

Thanks,
Harsha

It seems that your catalogs got corrupted. Try this:

Disable all the catalogs except for the one you have manually created from the datas I've given you.
Then refresh (no errors should come) and try downloading an app!

You can find rootsh in the repository I've given you, so it's an endless cycle

I disabled all cataloges apart from those you mentioned.
I didnt faced any errors this time while refreshing. So with this will i miss few stuff from those repository?

Now i tried downloading "tennix" game which is 7.5Mb, again its coming Failed downloading msg.

Thanks for you for solving my first problem.

Actually the first problem isn't solved, you have just disabled three catalogs giving you problems.
You will need them for system updates and OVI updates, so you will have to re-enable them. But now you have greater problems...

The Failed Downloading message is pretty strange. Have you tried changing your Internet connection with another one? Just for trying.

Some things can't be done for certains GSM connection. I've one of those as well, but I'm able to use certain features only with my Wifi home connection.

You certainly can share your broadband connection from your PC to your N900, but sorry I don't know how...

Do you have a WiFi adapter in your computer? In that case, have a look in this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=40617
