hey guys i have the biggest problem/ challenge.

my N900 won't turn on. it keeps saying "installing software update, please do not interrupt" and then to the nokia screen and restart. then goes all over again, and again.

i tried flashing it on with windows XP, but when i run: (Flasher-3.5 -f RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11_pr_combined_MRO_ARM.bin -f -r)

it Replies

FLasher-3.5: option requires an argument --r

i tried is several times

but wait thats not all.
after disconnecting the pone and reattach it it does not go to command mode. every time i connect the charger or pc cable it turns automatacly on and keeps updating and restarting

Did you do exactly like this, with the capitalized letters etc?
Code:
flasher-3.5 -F <FIASCO image> -f -R
so
Code:
 flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11_pr_combined_MRO_ARM.bin -f -R

Sounds like you need to charge the battery externally (another compatible phone or a desktop battery charger).

The only way to go into flashing mode is to hold down the 'u' key while the phone is off, then plug it into the USB port. If the phone is continually rebooting when plugged into the USB port (or when powered on), that usually (well, in every case I've seen) indicates that the battery is too low for it to even enter the recharge mode, so the battery needs to be charged externally first, before retrying.

Which version of XP do you have? I had the same issue with mine here (SP2 only - apparently SP3 is required), and ended up using a bootable Linux CD to flash it.
