Have you checked that the codec required is installed on the N900 and that you are not over doing the bandwidth on your network?

Streaming is broken on new fw with some avi files. Search here search bugzilla. Try extra codecs and subtitles package (someone said that it would correct things but i don't really know)

I can play the files fine if I put them directly on the device, just streaming gives me no video. Some video plays the first frame and it sticks there and the audio continues.

It cant be codecs or they wouldnt play from the deivce internally, my network bandwidth is 300MB using an N series router.

This has happened to me too! But the files that don't work now, did work previously. The only thing I can think of that has changed, is my Tversity install (I've un-installed and re-installed), or the extra codecs update I recently downloaded.

One thing I have tried it copying a video file to my N900, to prove it plays, then I have tried streaming the exact same video from TVersity (which sed to work!) making sure the file/folder setting in Tversity is set to Never transcode, theoretically, streaming the video file in exactly the same format as the source file, which I have proved plays fine when stored locally on the N900!

Any help oin this would be appreciated.

I dont think its you, its the device, mine used to work and I made no changes at all and now it doesnt. Tried restarts which did not help and removed additional decoders from phone just in case and it did not help either.

Did neither of you read the post that said this is

a) A known issue and has another thread and bug logged
b) A problem that started when the latest firmware was pushed.

I cant see it in bugzilla, if you would like to point it out that would help. Nothing relative to streaming from PC anyway the only ones on there are direct playback from n900

It's already fixed in next and default bugzilla search finds only open issues.
