I was hoping to listen to music on my noise-reducing headphones or on my stereo, but the n800 has a 4-conductor jack instead of the standard 3-conductor 3.5mm stereo jack.

Anyway around this?

Regular headphones work fine. The 4th conductor is for the built-in mike on the included headphones (inside the little box on the cord), for use with chat apps.

Have you tried to use your headphones, I have no problems with my headphones or stereo speakers, give it a try it won't blowup.

That audio jack is tight, push the plug in firmly.

No, but perhaps there should be one for questions left unasked because they were thought to be dumb!

In that case I was going to ask if my N800 could be used to slice cheese when I got it.
Do I win anything?

On a serious note.

Does anyone know where one of these 4 contact jacks can be purchased. I need one for a project and would like to solder my connections proper rather than cut and splice the stock ear buds.
