    hi everybody
i searched on this forum and google but i couldnt find a solution.
there are somethings going wrong on my n810
lately it started to reboot itself while i booted to os which is cloned to sd
i think it was because card was ejecting itself or smt like
but yesterday after installing a couple of apps(gnumeric , gconf)
all of apps and categories dissappeared in menu.
there is just nothing , it is totally empty . just the gray and white background showing up
also personal menu settings and all app icons gone
also nothing i change , remaining
im adding some apps to personal menu but i after close the settings window nothing is being saved.
but the app icons in personal launcher is not gone.so that's only place that i can access some apps.btw after every reboot personal launcher widgets gets disabled by itself.
there is x-terminal too in personal launcher so if you know any codes that may fix this please please tell me

Boot from flash and fsck your sd partition.

It seems your sd card reached its EOL

:/ :/ pfff now i'll need to install all those apps again it is so tiring somebody should hack synaptic manager to work with maemo os or improve application manager of maemo it would be really easier by marking apps. you wanna install instead of one by one installation

There is similar type thread here:
    http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...119#post521119
...and based on that and my own device I would say that it's not the card. Both the internal and external mmc's simply vanished as far as the OS is concerned. For example neither shows up in filemanager or control panel.

I have flashed the device with no help.
I have the OS running from original flash and not sd card.

    Any suggestions anyone?

    ezcola: try booting from sd
    McLightning:
Can you still read your sd card?
If so, you can get a list of all installed packages and reinstall them with apt-get with just one command.
Mount the mmc's root partition under /mnt or somewhere else, chroot there, and get the list of all installed packages with
    Code:
    chroot /mnt dpkg -la|grep ^ii|cut -f 3 -d ' '>/media/mmc2/pkg-list
Then prepare a new mmc card, boot from it, and apt-get install everything
    Code:
    apt-get install $(cat /media/mmc2/pkg-list)
