Hi Guys,
I Need to restart phone every 24 hours or it becomes sluggish.

Ie:
- If i press the phone icon it will take 5 seconds or so to do anything
- if the alarm goes off, I cant press the buttons or takes 20 seconds or so to do anything.

Pretty much EVERYTHING is very slow to respond after i unlock the phone.

If I restart it, Everything is normal again.

Anyone else had these issues or know how to fix / locate the problem?

Top shows =< 1% usage. So theres nothing hogging it.

Thanks
G

rootfs full? IO percentage on top? Mem usage?

But yeah. I have to agree that my device also gets little snappier after reboot. Looks like reboot once in day is right now normal procedure at least for me.

Narp,
60meg free on rootfs ( why they partitioned it so gay i dont know )

IO seems fine and mem usage is fine.

Ive just uninstalled that (catagory thing that puts everything in a cat ) apparently that causes some odd issues.

Maybe a reboot a day will keep i happy. I suppose if i keep my fedora lappy on for to long it needs a kick, So maybe this is the same.

It aint a server os.

I noticed the same thing only once yesterday ... ive been switching it off when im charging it.... but i'll have a look if it does the same thing when kept on.....

even its not a server os, its a "portable computer" which is suposed to replace my "laptop".... I restart my laptop only when there is an update from microsoft which requires a reboot.. or if it freezes (rarely happens).... even mobile phone OS can stay ON for days, weeks.. i dont remember if I ever did month :P

probably issue with ram???
maybe maemo5 version of something like "CleanRAM" for WM6.1 / 6.5 would do the trick....

I don't think I've rebooted mine in weeks. Pretty sure its not been restarted since last flash. Sounds weird.
