if you are not comfortable at fixing a problem caused by something you are doing... then maybe you should not do it yet?
That is not to say don't do it at all.... but probably best to learn more about what you are doing first?
There are lots of posts on re-flashing, and bricked devices in the forums... and also the wiki has a few pages on re flashing.
The development area is there for the devs to test code, before they think the app is ready.
Once you are comfortable with how to reflash etc, and what you are getting yourself in to - then you will not panic as much when/if something does go wrong
