I'm trying to use a tiddlyWiki on my N900, and the javascript warnings when accessing local files are annoying.

I've tried the solutions listed in http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=21620 and similar solutions for other mozilla-based desktop browsers. For some reason, they're not working. Could this be a Maemo4 <-> Maemo5 difference?

The settings don't have any effect on browser behaviour, and also don't show up in about:config.

Anyone solved this problem on the N900 yet?

Hi, also see https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6591 for some explanations from the Browser developers point of view (but please do not add "me too" comments to that report and please do not restart the discussion over there - Thanks!).

Yes, I saw that, but that is a slightly different problem. My understanding was that the bug report was filed because clicking "Allow" on the javascript warning didn't offer the option of saving the decision for the next time the script tries to write within the same browsing session.

Instead of that, my problem is that the recommended action from the developer response - changes in the prefs.js file - don't seem to have any effect.

Ok, my problem seems to be caused by a mix of two things. I can only get per-file exclusions to work, not the whole file:// domain. I also didn't realise at the time, but it seems that once MicroB has been started, part of the program remains resident after closing the window. This means that changes to the prefs.js file only seem to stick immediately after reboot.

Taking these two things into account, I've been able to skip the javascript warnings for my tiddlyWiki file.
