okay, first of all, my nickname is like my email! wtf! must have been the autocomplete thing.
Okay so back to the point, Im interested in buying the internet tablet, but i have some questions.

The first and most important of all, will i be able to chat with MSN users?
i NEED MSN, i heard something about Gaim or Pidgin or something like that but its all confusing and i didnd understad what it was or how to get it in the tablet.

Second, i read it does not sync with your computer, but can you connect it and transfer data? i mean, it plays music and videos so you have to get them somehow!, and if this is true, then the additional applications would make more sense, just connect the n800 to ur pc and copy the applications.

Third, How does it do with MySpace, Youtube, etc?

Fourth, can I read my yahoo mail and hotmail? its full internet so im guessing yes.

And thats about it, thanks for your time and the most important thing is the MSN, so plzz help me out!

MSN - Yes, GAIM supports the MSN protocol

Sync - you can mount the N800 as a mass storage device and transfer music over USB, or transfer data via the removable SD cards and a card reader. Or copy data over WiFi using scp, rsync, ftp etc. Most applications can be installed without the need to involve a PC - just select the application using the Application Manager and it will download and install directly on to the N800.

MySpace - not so good, those pages even manage to screw up desktop browsers. The situation may improve with a better version of Opera in the next firmware (better Web 2.0 support is promised, which may include MySpace-type applications)

YouTube - again, not so good but better Flash support may appear in the next firmware release (due this month, hopefully)

Yahoo/Hotmail - yep

you can check out this site for apps you can use on the n800 http://maemo.org/downloads/
,chat works great with pidgin, hopefully browsing will get better but it is pretty good with minimo and opera. there are some good solutions for streaming media like Orb and Tversity so you don't have to copy it all to the n800 but they can be better. yahoo and msn mail works fine for me.

Just to clarify for you GAIM is the same as PIDGIN. AOL had a lawsuit over the original name, so install pidgin.

Myspace works fine for me, as should any email websites. Youtube is choppy.

Installing apps is easy, for pidgin you just need to add a url to the app manager, select the base install, and the protocols you want ie. MSN, AIM, ICQ, etc.

You can, until you run out of space!

There's a lot more cool applications not found on that page though. It's rewarding to poke around. Take Quake 2 for example. =)
