Check out this cool app.. It simulates the matrix code...
install cmatrix from extras repo then
to easily run, open xterm and type "cmatrix"
making a shortcut to app folder is easy.
to enable FULL fullscreen viewing
type the following in xterm
------
gconftool-2 -s /apps/osso/xterm/toolbar -t bool "false"
------
Now, when u press the button to hide the top bar, the toolbar is also hidden, giving u a properly fullscreen terminal.
Ctrl-backspace still brings up the Expose view for app-switching.
I've played around with cmatrix on the n900, but it takes a lot of processing power for fairly simplistic graphics - we need a version that takes advantage of the gpu
This would be interesting as background if it didn't use so much CPU power. Anyway, I don't know if it's possible to use an animation as a wallpaper... perhaps a gif, like maxximuscool suggests, would work?
nevermind, found it! it's cute, but kind of useless.
It would be nice if someone made it so that instead of the display going black (powersaving enabled) it would load cmatrix instead as a screen saver, cuz that would be cool!
