hello

long time lurker now joined

I did not know where to ask this so forgive if this is the wrong place but...is it just me or...is there no 2nd Maemo 5 variant of the OS to install for the UK?

obviously I'm asking because I'm in the UK but couldn't find a UK version when re-flashing so installed OS 2009 version 2.2009.51-1?

basically...I want to know what will I miss out on?

thanks in advance for the answer

np.

however... strange problem...
maybe it was a filesystem problem on your memory.

but i'm glad everything is working for you now.

even nokia employees have announced that reflashing and leaving emmc intact can cause really weird symptoms. My browser acted really weird after plain fw reflash, problem was emmc

i sometimes have problems with mass storage mode at my linux (ubuntu) laptop. it's mounted only in read mode and i have to remount it rw.
responsible for this problem is a filesystem error too.
gladly this one is fixable by using a windows os and run a filesystem check + error fixing.

There's no 51-1 firmware on the Nokia download site for the UK, no. See https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6878. There's links to the firmware at http://wiki.maemo.org/Maemo_UK_variant_firmware, but it's hosted externally, so you're taking a risk using it.
