Me neither. That's what I was saying, even if it was so awkward that you thought I meant the opposite.

I don't buy a product for the 'fun of fixing it', that's pretty stupid IMHO. I buy products because I have a job I need them to do. If I want to work on something to make it work properly, I expect to get the device for FREE. I do not give my labor away, I'm a professional - I work for a living.

I bought the N770 because it fit a need. Or rather it WOULD have fit that need if it had done what they said it it did, and if it had been better designed. This chinese product looks far superior to the N800. I don't care what OS something runs, as long as it works. The nice thing about using CE is you don't have to spend time on making your apps run, someone else already did that for you. Nokia should NEVER have tried to run their tablets on Linux because they weren't prepared to invest in making things work on it.

Yes maybe they could have gotten the community to pick up on it and do the work for free, but that involves giving a lot of people FREE devices, which they didn't do. In short, complete marketing failure. Expect to see the N800 go the way of the N770, and soon.

you sound like you're a little bitter.... the n800 *does* fill a need, very true, but so does your average windows based mobile device.... I think an open platform has appeal for some people who actually enjoy writing software and designing applications.... granted they are far and few between.... I don't think its very fair to call them "stupid" though.
