having read this thread
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...ht=camera+haze

i decided to contact a friend at nokia...
nokia were unaware of the issue.......
i decided to compile some factors so we can better pinpoint where the problem lies....as not all n900's are affected....
im asking those who are affected with the problem to:

1. state your n900's country of issue via the product code(found under the battery on the silver label)

2. please state the date your n900 was bought

3. where your n900 was made (made in finland, made in china, made for nokia etc.)

these to factors can help us determine if the issue is region specific, or early adopters or maybe even a factory issue.
thank you all for your help in this matter.

****please only state the above and not have the post getting off topic****

it's NOT the chrome ring!
responsible for this haze is the turquoise edge of the camera-cover

Please could you make guide how to reproduce this latter problem. I have only managed to reproduce it with my left hand. Keeping it too close to flash I managed to get silver/white haze to left/upper part of image.
