I would like to know if WPA Enterprise is supported on the N900? Attached goes the gnome network panel that is used as mock for this network I am talking about.
Also, is it possible for me to force certain functions of the phone just to connect when a certain wlan is found?

Yup, that WPA Enterprise authentication method is supported.
And also, yeah it is possible to have it connect to only specific WLAN's when in range.
Mine works. Little different settings than in my computer.
Set no @domain in main settings. then in advanced manual username use the domain name. Certificates are automatic.
Good luck.
I'm having trouble with my college WPA Enterprise.
They use WPA Enterprise, TKIP, PEAP MSCHAPv2, no certificate.
Is this a bug perhaps? IDK, but i thought I'd ask here first.
I thought that was supported, but I don't have a network of that type to check with.
Also, just because someone is going to ask, no, TTLS-PAP is not supported on Maemo (although I believe it works in Mer). Last official word I heard was "Maybe Maemo 6", and while on one hand it's darn annoying that they don't have it done yet, the huge jump in everything else from Maemo 4 to 5 gives me some sympathy for their priorities.
have tried all the above. My corporate network is using a WPA Enterprise - PEAP -MSCHAPv2. I have tried everything but always get the error message "Authentication failed.. " everytime i try to connect. is there something else apart from the above i can do to troubleshoot.
Here is the solution: Please follow the steps EXACTLY as below:
1. Select New Connection
2. Enter Connection Name
3. Scan for available wi-fi network - select "No" if it is hidden network
4. Enter the exact SSID (if it is hidden then select Hidden checkbox)
5. Network mode: Infrastructure
6. Security method: WPA with EAP (this is what I selected for connecting to my office network)
7. EAP Type: PEAP
8. Select Certificate: None
9. EAP Method: EAP MSCHAPv2
these are most important steps:::
10. User name: ONLY ENTER User Name - no domain is required here
11. Password: enter valid password
12. Click Next and then click "Advanced"
13. Click "EAP" tab
14. Select "Use manual user name" checkbox
15. Enter "Manual user name" as username@domain --- very important.
16. Save
17. Finish
You are all SET. Setps 10 to 15 are very important.
it don't work for my.
look de log in the server (2008R2) and compare with a succed one,
the diferent is that AuthrnticationType is EAP isntead of PEAP and EAPType is missconfigured
