I just simplyfied it a litle..
But I think the wiki should be as simple as possible, you dont realy need to do all those steps to have an icon with your application..

Hi everybody posting these instructions. Good work !

Please test the steps *without* entering 'mad qmake'
(as mad pscreate does debian/rules which has that step)

And, when verified to work, please remove 'mad qmake'
from instructions

Hi there.

I am trying to build my first package. I have a GUI app (QT/C++) and 3 scripts (bash/sh) I want to package.

Right now the .deb package built doesn't contain the good access permissions to my scripts. I have set the permissions I want to the originals files (.files in INSTALLS value set in my src.pro) but it doesn't seem to be taken in account. I want the +x to be able to execute them of course :
