i think they have forgotten about us in the UK! Last time the fw was upgraded I received it at 3pm on the day it was first released!

Anyone dropped a query on the Nokia maemo forum? I will.

I can now say that yes, it is little snappier. First I tought that it was because of reboot, but I have noticed that this device now follows my ADHD controlling much better and doesn't lag so much. Still bit more speed in kinetic scrolling wouldn't hurt. So i´m really waiting for next update We might get almost to point what this device should be out of box :P

I fear Nokia are far too busy with the MeeGo stuff to take any notice of us poor little Brits. We've been left behind.

I'm told that this is fairly common in the UK. Some updates for symbian simply never arrived. People have long blamed it on the UK carriers, but this seems to show clearly that it's a decision of Nokia UK.

Anyone up for storming the flagship store? Find the UK head office and throwing tomatos at it? Writing a Strong Worded letter? Telling watchdog?

As I recall, it's Gordon Brown's turn to be blamed today. Anyone work out why?

I remember when I had a Nokia 5800 (red variant) bought on the day of release - Nokia forgot to give the red variant (the only difference was the colour on the outside of the phone) a firmware update for 3/4 weeks! Terrible.

Great idea. Go and throw a wobbly in their lobby wailing that you can't stand the stress of being left behind by the international community. Sob hysterically and demand that they release the update to us at once. Chew trhe carpet, foam at the mouth...

Seriously, someone should work out how to ask them!

A UK red 5800 is sitting on my desk right now. It is still months behind other variants for firmware upgrades. Ridiculous.
