Rather than skimming thru old threads I would like to start a fresh one. Since I have the fresh install of easy debian, I need to know if smb is available on this release. I tried synaptics and had samba listed. When I attempted to do the install some of the URLs that serve the files are not available. Is this incompatible with easydebian? If any one has succeeded in installing can you give us some kind of a roadmap on how to go about it?
