it is normal for the phone to charge while is connected to the pc :...why are you scared to use the USB ??...it is really efficient, i am using it all the time to transfer files between my pc and n900 because is really fast. Don't forget to choose pcsuite or mass storage mode when you plug in the cable...

no because is designed to work in this situations..is a Lithium-ion battery, it is diffrent like the old ones) which you have to fully charge them otherwise won't last for more than 2 days(i mean old phones)....

You can send files via WiFi

You need to install openSSH server, installing this should prompt you to select a password.

You'll also need to know your phones I.P address on your network. You can get this using a handy desktop widget (I think there are 2 in the repos).

Then use a program like Filezilla on your desktop (thats what I use and its free) to connect to the phone and browse and send files.

There is a more deatiled thread on this somewhere to assist. Do a search for openSSH or something. Or if you can search my previous posts I posted in the thread.
