The homework is very difficult bcz u didnt guide how to do..
Searching the forums was supposed to b a long.. No need of a kind teacher like you if you have to search in forums.. But i read the first or second page of this forum and they write there as .002 instead of .003 so i asked...
How to check Wiki, I dont know. Good teacher please tell??

well good point on the last number....
Your options are as follows:
1) Search the forums - self explaintory
2) Wiki - http://wiki.maemo.org/Main_Page
- Wiki search for firmware - http://wiki.maemo.org/Special:Search...firmware&go=Go
(For some odd reason the wiki is under community on the top menu bar)
- First link takes you to the "How to update firmware page" - http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_firmware - in there you can find the following:
"Download the latest firmware (.bin) file"
Ok, looooong way, but took me 2 mins to find and read...
Go visit that link, and it will tell you the latest firmware that your imei / phone can handle

A few people have reported this happening - you'll need to reflash the firmware, and possibly the eMMC as well.
It took me several hours to repair the damage and I really didn't need that.

I hate to state the bl****** obvious but this is clearly another area where Nokia trails behind the competition - never had any issue whatsoever upgrading the OS on my iTouch (after I'd paid Apple's fees that is but then, I was at least getting some fairly major new functionality for my bucks)...
How hard can this be??? And it's not like the UK is a minor market for Nokia is it?
And indeed, as reported by many here, the issues I had in getting proper UK updates for my N95 in the days made me think very hard about jumping ship...
