There is NOTHING as N800 on the market that shows the Internet soo well.
UMPC are on there way, but they are not there. And they are not going to be 400€ machines, so you cannot say a particular Ford is ******** because a Ferrary is faster.
I completely agree. The browser and screen resolution are wonderful and far better then anything on any phone or PDA currently available (maybe the Iphone will come close, but since it lacks flash support and has a much smaller screen, I have my doubts)

I would like to add that ALL current UMPC's are much larger, much heavier en have a terrible battery life compared to the N800.
Maybe that will change with newer Intel chips, but that will be 2008, and Nokia will no doubt launch a third and improved Internet Tablet by then .

...at the same price point.

Of course, if the Ford is sold as "take the Internet with you everywhere" it implies it can handle "the Internet". Where's the gopher client? Eh? Let's see Nokia answer *that* one...

Great. A $400 web browser that has no phone to facilitate this and requires the need to live under a wifi connect just to experience the best browsing experience on the market. Wonderful. Just wonderful. No thanks. I think I made the right decision to dump mine and get an N95, complete with a phone, wifi, and a pretty good web browser all in one package.

Its looking like Opera 9 mobile will get to the N95 before the N800 and while it may require a little scrolling, it will provide a fuller web experience.

Have you guys seen Opera Mini 4.0 Beta? Thats just the beginning.

You are correct again. My friend's company makes the SVG engine that Opera uses and I saw Opera 9 Mobile a few weeks ago but decided not to say anything as the forum police might stop by and start a Q & A session asking if I was under NDA or not. The browser is not bad but I tend to like the browser that is native with the N95 better, however I will be testing both to see which one provides a better browsing experience.

@Mara,

Don't waste your time here with posting first hand tips or info. Keep it to yourself. It won't be appreciated by some.
