Hi,

I opened my N900 in fedora as Mass Storage. After removing the cable, I now cannot access Mass Storage. The Mediaplayer shows no Video and no Music files. On Using File Manager it shows "sfil_li_memorycard_internal". On tapping it shows "Memory card format unsupported".

I restarted my device several times, even i tried removing the battery, but nothing happen.

Else is working fine with calls and sms.

How can i fix this.

Thanks in advance.

Jawad.

I think you might have the same problem I had:

Basically try reflashing the firmware and emmc. If that doesn't work then you might have to get a replacement, thats what I did.

Did you properly unmount the device in Fedora?

i have some problems with ubuntu too.
there i have to rw-remount the n900 sometimes.

it's something wrong with the filesystem.
after checking the filesystem with XP and fixing the failures i have no problems in ubuntu ... until something goes wrong again and the filesystem has failures again...

(and i don't want to do the filesystemcheck every day. so i just remount the n900 as read-write)

I had the same issue. I had to re-flash my phone to get the Mass Storage mode to work again. Re-flashing was actually quite easy. I only wish it didn't have to download all my applications again.

Under windows the N900 doesn't come in My Computer and not even in Device Manager. On connecting the cable the notification icon appears telling that the USB device is not recognizable, even though i selected Mass Storage on N900 after plugging in the cable.

ok, then you should try the emmc-reflash:
