I wonder if there is a way to make Openvpn client to work with a Cisco Vpn network(with password), many thanks.

i tried and failed - pretty sure the answer is no, but someone somewhere said certain cisco boxes should work....

did you try vpnc ?

that VPN client is supposed to work with cisco infrastructure, but it has no GUI as far as i know.

If Cisco has suddenly started using OpenVPN, then yes.

But I'm sure that they are using their own thing, which means no.

Openvpn only works with openvpn. There are different types of VPN protocols out there, they are entirely incompatible. Use openvpn and openvpn-gui for openvpn, use vpnc and vpnc-GUI for Cisco, or use openconnect for that other type of Cisco VPN. For MS PPTP (another type of VPN protocol) I'm not entirely sure where we stand at the moment. But there's a thread about it somewhere.

vpnc does have a gui - and that's what i used - worked fine, sorry thought you really wanted it to work on OpenVPN, lol...
