i voted. but i hope the awards are NOt soley based on the readers votes.
i hope that the engadget editors have the final dcision in the winners of the rewards. the iphone does not deserve to win. it un realistic to think that n900 would win. it barely made shipments in 2009. i have had my n900 for 3 days now. it awsome. i used to have a N810 so i can appreciate what maemo 5 has to offer. i do miss all the applet and widgets on the N810. but the better performance is worth the sacrifice. angry birds alone makes up for any ommissions. that game is masterful.
i downlaoded Some of the QT demo apps. and boy O boy am i excited about maemo 6. i sugest all you peeps go downlaod the QT waether demo and super ui demo apps.
Sorry, but I need to bump this thread. Votes will be tallied until Monday February 20th, which is today. And the N900 is currently only 12 votes behind the HTC HD2! That would really be a sad outcome...
Droid was the readers choice for Gadget of the year and Smartphone of the year.
Droid also got the editors choice for Gadget of the year, while the Iphone 3GS got the editors Smartphone of the year.
Great results for the Droid, well deserved and nice to see something knocking the 3GS off top spot. And well done to Motorola for releasing such a great handset (against all form let's be honest, they haven't released anything of note since the Razr) and backing it up with a great ad campaign too I wish they'd hurry up and release the thing properly over here though...
