Thanks for the reply.

I know they don't work with MSCIM but I thought if I just uninstalled them I would get them back. I tried with previous version of Maemo 5 PR1.1 and I was able to get the virtual keyboad etc. back after uninstalling but now I couldn't.

Well then might just stick with MSCIM.
