There is a way to use skype built-in software in debug mode?
I'm trying to identify the reason about why I can't connect Skype when connected to 3G network. Via Wi-Fi Skype works perfectly. I just can't use it when using 3G...
Note that this is the only service that I can't use. SIP, Jabber, and everything else works without any problem. Skype is the only one that don't work on 3G...
I call to 3G company, they guarantee that is not blocking Skype services, but I need investigate because I suspect that is not true.
Using skype on debug mode, I can try to see hostname used to authenticate, ports, and any other information that could help.
where are you both located and on what network? Works perfik for me in the UK even when not on 3g... Does it show you are connected in the availability section?
I'm connected via Vivo/Brazil using 3.5G. My IM status is Green with an exclamation mark. When I click to see all IM statuses Skype is the only one with (X) status and a small message: Network error.
That is the reason that I would like to be able to debug skype application, look ip/hostname used to authenticate with Skype services and try to find any block.
Someone can confirm hostname and port used to 'authenticate' on skype? I'm not referring to random ports used while you are in a conversation, but the auth service. So I can try to ping/telnet host/port.
