hey guys.

I would like the functionality of a text message starting whenever I type anything on the desktop. so if I want to message Mom, I just start typing "mom" and a text message window appears.

Is this plausible?

If you type 'mom' on the desktop, a call or text message is two clicks away..

Type Mom and select SMS to text mom.

Currently 'Space' does nothing. Would be nice if someone made a plugin that allowed you to trigger an application or a function when pressing 'Space' on desktop.

Someone made. It is called keyboard-shortcuts package and is available from my repository.
