Hi. I have a strange problem with my N900. In each corner of the cover, there is a vertical crack, barely visible. I've dropped it once, about 50cm/1,5feet (off my bed) onto a soft carpet, but that surely can't create such cracks, can it?

If that is the case, Nokia N900 is the least sturdy device I've ever had.

are you sure they're cracks? i have a vertical line on each corner of my device too but it looks far more like where the case is moulded together and they've always been there.

When landscape, top right and bottom left are quite obvious, the other two are very faint but there.

They're on the top corners too (at least on mine anyway) but just veryyy faint. have to shine the corner into the light to see them really.

Yes, in each corner. Those at the top are less visible than those at the bottom. But it sounds possible that it's moulding lines.

The line at the styles is quite thick, though.

mkay... on my n900 the top lines aren't visible (even in veeeeery bright light)... maybe my phone isn't as nagged as yours
