Is there any way to have my media displayed in a folder view rather than by date? Especially video as scanning through hundreds of items to find one is tedious.

Hmm. Do you know that you can just open keyboard in video or music view and type to search?

I hadnt tried that actually, be easier to scan straight to S section tho...

There is another media player which gives this functionality. I will just use that.

MediaBox supports browsing by folder in addition to tag based browsing.
