Only telstra gives me 3G.. therefore.. I have a 850 UMTS n900 logically? :S Where UMTS 2100 does not work?
Or is it something else??
I have recieved official settings from all 3 networks and confirmed them.
I have reset the phone settings to ensure there are no variables.
I have tested the area I was in with multiple phones to confirm that there was 3G reception with all 3G networks.
I have replaced my optus simcard with a new one,and tried a new optus, vodaphone simcard and they all had the same issue, no 3G.
3G only works on the telstra simcard, instantly.
Any ideas whats up?
No, I am currently with Optus, where it only shows 2G (no 3G connection anywhere)
I used my gf's simcard, who is on telstra, and I got 3.5g
I bought a vodaphone simcard, and I only had 2G
I know i have 3g coverage cause I have 3 other phones right next to me and they all currently pick up the Optus, Vodaphone, and Tesltra 3G signals. It is only the n900 that doesn't pick up Optus and Vodaphone 3G connections.
The wierd part is the n900 uses UMTS900 and Telstra is UMTS850
So what we are saying here is despite producing tens of thousands of N900's which don't work with this 3g frequency, Somehow Nokia's production line knocked out a single unit that does?
if you're going to blurt you think you have a rare n900, why not tell us where you got it from? ebay? some corner street vendor? drug dealer? the store? the floor? the trash?
