I'm with you omeriko9, Ronaldo jumped on my first post yesterday with a sarky comment too, not exactly a warm welcome!

Your post defending the OP reveals both intelligence and maturity in equal measures. Short, one-line insults similarly speak volumes about the poster.

To me, the OP content reads like someone (perhaps fairly non-technical) having genuine problems with their new phone trying to communicate those problems to an English-only corresponding community as best they can.

1) Can you give us more details please? We can't help you if you keep saying just "this doesn't work, that doesn't work, I can't do this' I can't do that". Using the USSD widget *# numbers work well, maybe you have used it bad.
4) Using the additional decoders support both of them should work, give us more details. By the way MP4 are supported out of the box (default recording format of camera application).

Regarding the Cisco router, we can't help you without some details. Even if your english is not perfect, we'll try to understand.

Everybody here respects each other, but many users try to abuse of that respect and sometimes we lose patience. We give you our sincere apologizes and we hope you'll enjoy your Maemo.org experience.

Have you searched for the answer at all? I just started posting here again, but I was on this board for a while years ago with my 770, lost my password, so just started a new scrn name. You will find all you need by searching on this forum/and on the web before posting questions. The members here (me included) would appreciate it before you post these issues. If you can't find an issue from searching, then by all means, please post. BTW, love my n900, got it in beginning of January, and yes, I have found all I need to know by reading through the forums/interweb.

Let's take a closer look at this, shall we?

First post:

1) *123# doesnt work
2) reboot itself
3) no SEND TO option for images, songs etc...
4) media player doesnot support latest files MP4, MKV etc.
5) GPS doesnt work without internet
6) OVI does not support
7) PC suit does not support
8) you cannot install any update and application without internet
9) phone is useless if you dont have internet connection
10) you cannot play any video or songs if you are traveling in the car or jeep, because of vibration.

torpedo48 replies with the folowing information:

1) https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5357
2) Flash the phone, if it doesn't solve the issue, use your warranty
3) Coming soon, in the meantime just use http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/petrovich/
4) http://maemo.org/downloads/product/M...oders-support/
5) https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7026
6) Partially works
7) Partially works
8) Not true, you can use terminal
9) Not true, phone is fully functional without any Internet connection
10) What does that mean? I always watch movies while on the bus

The more cynical among us just looked at the first post and saw a list of most of the bugs that the device has experienced plus a few imaginary ones added for effect. Luckily omeriko9 was there to put up a spirited if slightly patronising defence of people who fail to make use of the two search options on the site before creating their post.

The OP returns, not to defend himself against the troll jibes but to post the following:

Still not working
1) *123# doesnt work
4) media player doesnot support latest files MP4, MKV etc.

He appears to have understood all the bug reports other than the first one but he doesn't mention whether or not he has flashed the phone or had a replacement under warranty. The explanations of his other points were ignored as was torpedo48's request for clarification on the Jeep bug that the OP discovered.

The OP returns again. Still no acknowledgement of the number of posts spawned by his and he has another question:

anybody help to configure 802.1x certificate and modify connection settings, because m not able to connect to CISCO WLAN

He may be doing it by accident but by not searching and not acknowledging responses to his post he does appear to be
a troll.

You are certainly right, but until we have the certainty he's a troll we can't attack him, maybe he can't understand what we're writing. Or maybe I'm just a fool.

Ok, direct question:

Hey prabhatkumar, are you a troll?

If the answer is no, please give us details about your problems and about the fact that you are not searching the forum.

If the answer is yes, ehm... Well... Ah....

Maybe he doesn't defend himself because he doesn't know what a troll is. English not being your native language would make it a bit hard to know what terms to search for to solve your problem also.

the launch of the N900 has attracted a lot people to this forum, majority of those people being asses i reckon.

Dear prabhatkumar, is this WLAN your home network, or part of a business network?
