i thought u meant directly install from browser, if you downloading deb from browser then the OP might aswell connect phoen to pc and transfer that way.

off topic, are the new maps good?

The only officially supported way is via the Application Manager. You can use maemo.org extras/non-free, or create your own debian repository for example.

paid content as started being put up again in n900 ovi store so it might be as long as you think before we see prismic in there.

With the newest firmware, paid applications should work, so I hope you'll manage to put Prismic into Ovi soon.
It looks like a nice app and your price point seems fair.

i have just come over form o2 to vodaphone. i went to buy the new level pack for angry birds £3. im no iphone fan boy but my friend got all the maps about 3 times the number we have for 59p.

this is all going to balance out as it is open source and there is going to be loads of free stuff. now $3 for the OP's App, hell yer that looks nuts and looking forward to getting my hands on it.

i dont understand why angry birds level pack 1 is £3 when the iphone has the same game with all 3 level packs for 59p

The phrase is "economics of scale" - when you're selling to several million Apple fanboys, you can afford to charge less than when you're selling to several thousand N900 users.

i understand the economics of it but thought they would maybe release the full game for £3 not just another level pack.

if this stays the same price i will have paid £6 for the full game that is a massive jump from 59P. in fact its nearly %900 increase if im correct i cant see how that can be justified

anyway we digress i would definately pay the price for Prismic it looks really good. its these types of apps or projects that i would like to see coming to the n900

I've just paid for Prismic, but only recieved paypal reciept and no instructions on how or where to download the app....

Have contacted them...awaiting response.

EDIT: Had another look on the paypal receipt screem and there was an option to 'Go Back to Merchant'. Once i done this the download started.

Bear in mind if you don't have the latest firmware update (or live in the UK like me and don't want to flash device) then you will have to install the deb file using x terminal.

I'm playing around with the app at the moment and it looks very neat and tidy Cost me £2.50 and paid via paypal so i'm a happy man
