All is in the title.
Is there any plan to bring full GCF compliance to maemo 5 ?
It seems to be a show-stopper for the french operators, as the N900 cannot be sold through operator's shop without that.

Sorry, I though it was obvious when speaking about a phone, but may be it's a lower level issue (I mean it may not be related to maemo 5 directly).

I hadn't heard of GCF before, and it either has the certification or it doesn't matter, as Vodaphone is selling the N900 in the UK.

I suspect it's the total lack of DRM and ease with which the user can gain root access to the device that is preventing most carriers from selling it.

I think it does matter here in France, but I don't think the N900 has the certification as full USSD codes support is required.

Yeah that would be a binder. Hopefully the next update will include support for that (without needing a 3rd party tool...)
