brand new n900.
memory for installable apps is already full.
this is fresh from the box, updated to the latest firmware.

i only have 114mb memory free in apps memory.
ive tried flashing to an older version of firmware but still have the same problem.

HOW DO YOU FIX THIS?

Doesnt seem like that could be a brand new N900 then - you or someone else must have installed something. As a rule it goes into /opt - so check there for data.

114mb is about half of the rootfs partition so don't worry. Most apps don't take much space from rootfs because they install in /opt.

EDIT: If I remember correctly, that sounds about the same I had free in rootfs on a fresh system.

You've got a bug. Try reflashing it using flasher3.5 and flashing eMMC then OS. This will fix your problem. I hope you successful. For more information on how to flashing please visit WIKI maemo. Goodluck friend.

yes still he may need to flash his eMMC to clear his application memory. Rootfs doesn't have 114mb free even it's out of the box. At most i've seen is around 60mb free in the rootfs out of the box.

yea it is the memory for installable applications.

you can see it from file manager then open memory usage, or from settings and then go to memory.

that is supposed to have atleast 1.5gig available.

ive tried flashing the phone already but nothing happened. this thing has no applications at all, just apps out from the box.

so the next thing to try is flashing emmc?
