If it helps, thinking about opening a bug report, there already is one but the user had a /scratchbox directory and deleting it solved the problem

Ok, so never mind the bug report, deleted my post, problem was caused by fmtx-faker after all, removed fmtx-faker and purged the config files (dpkg --purge fmtx-faker), rebooted and it's working again.
qwerty12 why didn't you mention this? I see you did reply in the bug report (and I got the solution from one of your posts on there)

Erm, you already asked if the guy had FMTX Faker installed in post #2 thus implying that you already knew FMTX Faker caused problems. Besides, I couldn't care less. If you install programs from extras-devel, you get what you pay for.

Then use http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...7&postcount=82

Still debating with myself about whether using g_idle_add () to get it to quit is the best of ways.

I didn't mean to say anything bad in my post, sorry if you took it that way. I know the risks of extras-devel and I'm not blaming you for it.
