Greetings..

I have a Patriot Signature Line 8GB SDHC Secure Digital High Capacity Class 4 Flash Card .. and it seems to work well... but not well enough

Simple issues stem from when I wish to browse the card with nearly 7gb of map data and mp3/videos..

the N800 seems to have issues in reading the card and will basically choke sometimes and error saying that it cannot read it...

yet if i connect via usb to my WinXp machine it reads quick and well..

I am wondering if i clear the card and format it right on the N800 itself.. 1) will it format correctly with the applied patches for SDHC compatability.. and 2) will it boost the read performance a little?

or does it have nothing to do with how its formatted.. and this particular card just suffers from read performance issues on the N800 with the patch?

card particulars can be found here at the store I purchaced it at.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I believe I have a similar card, but I still only use about 3 gig of it. So far so good.

I formatted my 4gb on the n800, but it only uses 2gb of it as partition. Anyone know if I can change how it is formatted from xterm? I ask because I dont have a SDHC card reader for my pc.

For some reason when you format on the n800 it will only do up to 2GB. I had to format my 8GB card on my PC. There is a thread (or two) about this in the forum.
