Install syslog then upload the log to http://bugs.maemo.org someone there will be able to diagnose the issue

I have that same problem with a new n900 and using original n900 charger. It will start charging but for no reason it will just stop and show the not charging yellow message.

It just happened while writing this message I have to umplug and replug so it starts charging again.

There is already a similar bug reported, should i install syslog and send the log to bugs.maemo.org?

This happens to me too.The only way I charge my N900 now is by turning it off, connecting the charger then, and after that turning it back on.This way it works, but it is annoying that I have to do it all the time.Is it a hardware issue? Can it be fixed?I called Nokia, and they were not helpful at all

The yellow light is slowly blinking when it's charging, as long as it's turned off. The light goes off if you turn the device on or unlock the display.
