when i open ovi maps, it has no maps (blank) and has to download it everytime. it seems that it can't load or save files in the cities folder. i tried delete to diskcache folder and open ovi maps then close it, the diskcache foler didnt appear.
how can i fix it or can i re-install the whole oiv maps?

I think there is a guide on how to put the map into the N900. But can't remember by heart where. Search through google and you'll find it.

but i think it's not the problem.
i can download the maps and put 'em into the device, but still, when i open the ovi maps, the map doesn't show up and it starts to download via wifi..
even when it finish downloading, when i open the software next time, still nothing..
if i delete the Diskcache folder, it won't be re-created by the ovi map no matter i open and close the software for times..

I would suggest renaming the cities folder as a backup and then running ovi maps and letting it download enough data to recreate it's folder structure.

I've downloaded the version 3 data for my local countries from the links on http://diabo.freehostia.com/symbian/indexmaps.htm and that seems to work ok expanded onto the cache structure.

With a full cache it shouldn't need to connect to get the maps.

still.. the software aren't loading or saving date to the cities folder.. i've tried delete it, downloaded the maps on internet and put them into the n900 or let the sofeware download the maps itself..
is there a way to reinstall the ovi maps?
