Hey,
this is no trashing of you in person or the N900, it is more a thank you for the months that I have been following and participating in discussions and news here at this very nice forum.
I was one of the first to place an order for a N900, got the device in december but could not use it before the first major up-grade due to the Three Hutchinson SIM card issue.
However I have realized that the N900 is not really for me due to form factor but mostly due that that some issues especially with Bluetooth, exchange, and so on.
I am sure that Maemo and Nokia will get their act together, however I do not have time to wait for that.
the Nokia competitors have all their own issues, and it really hurts to say that Apple seem to be the company that actually have done their Beta testing before releasing their devices, but I cannot see myself buying a iPhone as I have no plans of having Mr Jobs hand in my pocket all the time.
I will for ever remember this great forum and surely pop in now and then, and maybe in a year or two when Nokia can offer me a device with software that will fulfill MY needs.
as I said in the beginning, I am not trashing....just realizing that the N900 is not for me.
Oh please, Apple did Beta testing alright, it was the first iPhone
What were you expecting of the N900? What where your bluetooth and other issues and did you post here to find solutions?
Sad to see someone leave a device i now find indispensable. I am an ex N95 owner too and having to use it again at the moment (N900 in for usb port replacement) i now find the N95 antiquated and just annoying to use.
I must admit to having frustration with the N900, but that is mainly that the potential is so great but the updates to achieve the potential, are slow
Dude, I'm tellin' you, you're leaving the party too early. The hot chicks don't get here till midnight and the band goes on at 2:00. Just set your alarm and go take a nap.

Good luck!
Well said, especially that MeeGo is coming to the N900! He's leaving the party waaay too early! But best of luck dude, I hope you find the right device for you!
If you ask me though, I would keep the N900 and get some other device, and use the N900 purely as an internet tablet.. But that's only my humble opinion...
Excellent, but remember to pace yourself. You don't want to get too drunk too early and then accidently trip over your power cord and rip out the USB port. You'll end up spending the rest of the party in the bathroom talking to God. Don't be that guy; it's the worst.
I know, I think I just entered the anti-Twilight Zone. And the funny part is, I could care less about Qt and MeeGo right now. I'm really diggin' exploring the stable API's I've got in the present. But to now find out that the future will be waiting for me when I'm good and ready? "It's beginning to feel alot like xmas." C'mon, everybody sing with me!
@McChicken: take care dude, I'm glad you know what you want and going for it.
Actually I have NO clue on what device that I will replace the by now "Beaten to pulp" N95 with.
I am NO Apple fan boy....cannot understand who got that idea, I am all for Open source stuff, BUT I do think that Nokia should treat this fantastic Maemo community that they have for free (?) a bit better, did read another thread that sort of had the same drift...why shall the ( unpaid) users solve Huge Super Profitable company issues ?
right now I will just sit still, and have an outlook for if there will be a device W/O hardware keyboard and by that loosing the bulkiness and hefty weight a bit...
as I said first....it has been a VERY nice time knowing you all, I will keep an eye on the Maemo progress, hopefully return here some day.
YOU GUYS & THIS FORUM IS WHAT MAKES THIS DEVICE GREAT...NOT NOKIA or the N900 itself.
