I use it for everything. Mostly for internet and email when away from home. I have a no-internet-allowed work place, so....
I don't call much. I would use it more as a music player if the media player didn't completely suck, and if it could record the radio. (So I still carry my wonderful Cowon player around for now.)
The internet browsing is so great I can overlook some shortcomings.

I can do everything I would do on a laptop on the N900, for my use anyway, there are somethings that can not be done, likely hardcore gaming etc etc but for a normal user it can do the lot, and I have been using it like that.

I am also sure it can do a lot more, things that I don't even use on a daily basis like SSH etc etc honestly I will be buying the next tablet from Nokia, simply because the N900 does everything I want it to do, the next step is doing it fastest, as is the way of all computers.....
men, i cant wait for nokia's updates in the future to make this device better, besides, n900 is just on the 4th level of 5 levels as what nokia say

if the country i am in will (hopefully and faithfully) support 2100 mb band of 3G, my n900 will be able to connect with a 3G signal, and that will change everything in my daily gadget routine

To be honest I know what you mean, it is a little bit worse in some areas, than all the seperate parts would be (Ipod, digy cam, N95 etc etc).....

....however very small (and they are very small) shortcomings in certain areas is soooo worth having this one device that can literally "do all" lol
