I just saw this on the news. Nokia tying up with car manufacturers to connect their devices to the in car module.

Which Nokia device is that shown in the cradle? It looks like a tablet, with a call and end button?

Seems like an N97 to me.

Yes for a moment I thought it was a new device. sigh...

I always had thought of having the mobile device acting as the display. Now with larger LCD displays on the car's it make sense to use the bigger display.

All my Symbians phones to date have had external display support in their control panel. Never quite figured out what display it was talking about or where to get one, though ;-)

My recent S60 devices have supported TV video out?

ScarCow is right, that is an N97.
However I don't think the same thing would be difficult for Maemo.

I didn't mean TVOut. It's something else, or then they just left in the option in the control panel even on devices with no tvout... *Shrug*
