As the thread title suggests, is it possible through the inbuilt Conversations program to have conference chats (that is, three or more people) through Skype or any of the other IM clients supported? This isn't something I need to do now but will have to soon and it would be great to do it through the phone rather than needing to find a computer all the time.

When having a one to one Skype IM chat today I looked to see if there was anyway to add another person to the chat but I couldn't see anything anywhere. Is it possible with any other programs (e.g. Pidgin/Fring), ideally one compatible with Skype since that's my main IM client.

Any help greatly appreciated

ps. I did do a search on this one, but strangely couldn't find an answer

thanks for the response, but could you be slightly less cryptic and a little more detailed about what you mean. Which two apps? And why will running two apps help solve this problem?

at least i have had "group chat" in the conversation app over skype.

one of the other people started the chat and added me. Worked fine.

it works fine, but you currently can't initiate it from the N900, AFAICT

just use Pidgin for IM

Much better then the build in conversation imo
