I installed Claws from the repositories and the Plugin by hand, as the automatic installation does not seem to work with Maemo5 (see https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7707). I was more or less following

http://maemo.org/community/maemo-dev...d402e714b314b3

and after dealing with another bug (see https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9331) I am finally able to decrypt incoming messages and the signatures are handeled properly as well. I can also sign messages by turning on the option that every mail is signed.

However, when writing a mail I'm not able to find any option, button or whatever to encrypt the message or to sign it. I must be blind, but even after looking around for quite a while I'm not able to figure out how to encrypt a message. Anybody able to help me?

Thanks in advance!!!

Okay, it seems nobody seems to be using PGP with the N900, or is there another practicable way?

Since the Claws UI is not really adapted for using your fingers I figured that I prefer Modest anyway, so my workaround is now to turn on encryption and signing for all mails, which is working fine, and just use Claws to handle my encrypted mails.

I'm using a non finger friendly way to use mail with PGP. Mutt Email Client in a terminal. Works perfect.

Hello.

How you did it? I installed mutt from the extra-repository and set in the .muttrc an option for pgp. But when i send a mail with pgp i see a error like that:

(in german)
Kann PGP-Subprozess nicht erzeugen: No such file or directory (errno = 2)

So, i like mutt and use it an the netbook, pc and server. But on the N900 i try and try......

Best regards

N900er

i can confirm, that claws mail and PGP plugins works on N900

installation is little bit complicated, because of wrong installation package of plugins
