Changed log level to 1. Restarted server and this is the output.

Might it be something to do with my paths: C:/Program Files (x86)/Knots

Ah, sorry, you need to enable developer mode to print the messages into terminal, but you can find the line from .config/kserver/kserver.log. Try running:
Code:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Videolan\VLC\vlc.exe -Vdummy --intf=telnet --telnet-host=localhost --telnet-port=4212 --telnet-password=knots -vvv

ok

When I run this line:

vlc.exe -Vdummy --intf=telnet --telnet-host=localhost --telnet-port=4212 --telnet-password=knots -vvv

I get the Windows UAC window asking do I want to run vlc.exe which I agree to do and it starts properly and is listed in Task Manager.

Then if I start, RunKnotsInTerminal.cmd it starts ok and finds vlc properly.

So is this a Win 7 thing that needs administrator access beforehand to be able to run vlc in this way?

Thanks for your help...

Thanks for noticing this, you are the first to report this. It wouldn't hurt if Windows showed the dialog when Knots runs VLC, but oh well. Once you have given the permission, does Knots run ok from the menu item? Would running Knots with admin rights make VLC start properly? I'd appreciate a solution for this so I could add info to wiki.

I'm curious as to what all you boys are watching with this and if you have changed any of the default settings for knots.

For me, I'm currently on my 7th episode of Monster.

It's okay. I probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone here but I personally am liking the story enough to keep wanting to watch the following episode when I find the time.

So what about the rest of you psychos?

Got to dash out in a minute but I can confirm that once you start VLC from the command line. Accept Win 7 UAC rights to run it and then run knots from the command line it all works.

I have a separate issue with the video playback and noises added to the stream that I will mention later.

No clue on what you're referring to.

Are you talking about Bob, from the TV show "The Biggest Loser"?

Anyway, since no one else responded, I'm just going to assume that all of you monkeys are watching porn. *lol*

Heya ukki!

I've been wanting to ask this for awhile now but keep forgetting to mention it with you.

Is there any possible chance that either VLC or knots could capture the buffer informational stuff thingies from sites such as hulu.com?

This way you could view episodes immediately without having to wait for the full file to download.

I'm guessing probably not since it would require a competent coder to achieve such a thing. *lol*

By the way, knots is now my most loved app on the tablet and sucks about 50 minutes out of every day from me.

And I was showing such great potential in real life.

What happened?

Not too keen on adding support for sites I can't access myself, sorry.
