Seems like after installing this program my tmobile internet connection is being broke out the blue had to reboot a few times to get it to reconnect. You would think they would have done more testing to iron out these kinda problems. I will email them in the morning but I sure hope they send out an update soon to fix this and the wlan problem people are having
When you bought the software you should have got a .install file - opening this with File Manager on the N900 will add the necessary repository, download and install it. Alternately you can add the repository manually (using the information in the .install file) and then use "apt-get install" to download and install it. The production repository is different from the one used for the beta version though.
I tried the .install file once more and this time it worked. They probably have changed something in the repository side because I did try it the first time too but it just failed during preparing to install stage. But the main thing is that everything is fine and dandy now.
Just bought it but closed the checkout page since I though a download link was emailed. Ah well sent an email to em...
I made the same mistake, I closed the download file and moved to the N900 to pick up the email assuming it would contain the JoikySpot Premium install file. It did not.
I tried writing to Joiku but they have not replied.
Where can I get my hands on the install file? I cant use the program having bought the license.
Guys .. be careful of this, it seems very easy to pay for but not get a copy of JoikuSpot.
Joiku ... are you reading this thread, could you please comment.
Lol yeah that's what I planned on doing, buyin on pc and then installin from the n900. I assumed it would be the same as the S60 version ie. just input the license key into the demo and it would unlock. This version does not use a license key though, hopefully they will make this process more intuitive next time. I wonder if I had created an account if it would have let me download after leaving the site.
About the download process, they could indeed make it better. I've seen a method where a one-time use download link hits your inbox after you check out. When you use up that download link, another one will hit your inbox. While you should save the most recent email, the vendor makes it very easy to get a new one if you lose it.
